Tragic Loss: Karnataka CM Announces Aid for Fallen Officers' Families
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced compensation for the families of three police officers who died in a tragic road accident in Chitradurga. The state will provide Rs five lakh to each bereaved family and Rs two lakh to those injured. The accident involved a car crashing into a lorry on the Bengaluru–Ballari highway.

In a solemn announcement, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared compensation for the families of three police officers who tragically died in a road accident in Chitradurga district.
The Chief Minister has assured an ex gratia payment of Rs five lakh for each family of the deceased Reserve Sub-Inspectors, underscoring the state's support during this difficult time.
The horrific accident occurred when their vehicle rammed into a lorry. Two other injured officers will receive Rs two lakh each. The injured are receiving treatment in Chitradurga and Davanagere hospitals.
