Funds Flow Frets: MGNREGS Faces Hurdles in West Bengal

Amid ongoing economic challenges, the Indian government has released more than Rs 81,500 crore under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) for the fiscal year 2025-26, according to recent reports.
