Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced plans to meet with state MPs to resolve delayed approvals for crucial irrigation projects. Joining forces with Ministers H K Patil and M B Patil, their agenda is to engage in comprehensive discussions to address the held-up clearances from the central government.
Speaking at Kempegowda International Airport, Shivakumar highlighted the stagnation caused by these pending approvals. He stressed the necessity of collective action to persuade the central authorities to expedite decisions vital for Karnataka's irrigation systems.
The ministers plan to provide a briefing on the outcomes of their deliberations upon returning from their meeting, aimed at fostering a collaborative push for accelerated approvals from the Centre to benefit the state's agricultural sector.
