Nine police personnel in Jharkhand have been suspended after 43 LPG cylinders mysteriously vanished following an explosion in Palamu district, officials stated on Tuesday.
The blast, which occurred at a building in Bairiya Chowk, revealed illegal storage of 61 LPG cylinders, of which only 18 remained after the incident, police revealed.
Authorities attributed the theft to the alleged negligence of the security personnel on duty at the site. Ajay Sahu, the building's owner, and a gas agency operator, is under investigation for illegally storing the cylinders at his home.
