A tribal couple and their minor son were brutally murdered in Jharkhand's Godda district, allegedly over suspicions of witchcraft, according to local law enforcement.
The incident took place on Monday at Dang Tola in the Deodanr police station area. Police recovered the bodies on Tuesday, confirming suspicions of witchcraft-related motives.
Godda Sub-divisional Police Officer Ashok Ravidas stated that three individuals have been arrested in connection with the killings. The accused reportedly admitted to police that they believed the victims were practicing witchcraft. Authorities have also retrieved the axe used in the crime, and the investigation is ongoing.
