Himachal Pradesh's Anti-Drug Campaign Nets Eight Arrests in Intensive 24-Hour Operation

The Himachal Pradesh Police have intensified their anti-drug efforts, arresting eight individuals during a comprehensive 24-hour campaign. The operation led to the seizure of 1.22 kg of charas and 7 grams of chitta.

This coordinated drive saw multiple nakas set up by police and the special task force across 176 locations. Intelligence inputs and inter-district collaboration were key to the operation's success, which involved checking over 20,230 vehicles for illegal substances and issuing five legal cases.

Beyond drug enforcement, the campaign tackled traffic violations, resulting in 878 challans. The aim is to deter youth from drug involvement and dismantle drug networks, with blood and urine samples collected from suspects for thorough investigation.
