Kavinder Gupta Takes Oath as 30th Governor of Himachal Pradesh

On Tuesday, Kavinder Gupta was appointed as the 30th Governor of Himachal Pradesh. The swearing-in ceremony took place in Shimla, attended by notable political figures and officials. Gupta, previously the Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, was administered the oath by Chief Justice GS Sandhawalia.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu welcomed the new Governor, expressing hope for Gupta's collaborative approach in governance. Sukhu emphasized the importance of maintaining a constitutional balance and expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the outgoing governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla.

Gupta, who has held numerous political positions including Mayor of Jammu and Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, expressed his commitment to working with all parties. The ceremony included the playing of the national song 'Vande Mataram,' marking a traditional yet respectful start and end to the event.
