Jammu and Kashmir Moves to Dissolve Workforce Tied to Anti-National Activities

In a significant move, the Jammu and Kashmir government has terminated the employment of three workers from the Jal Shakti department, citing their involvement in anti-national and subversive activities, as reported by official sources on Tuesday.

The dismissed workers include Liyaqat Ali Bhagwan and Kousar Hussain Bhagwan, both from Kishtwar district, along with Showkat Ahmad Zargar from Anantnag district. Liyaqat and Kousar were employed as need-based casual laborers, while Showkat was a daily-rated wager.

The action follows an order issued by Shaleen Kabra, the financial commissioner of the Jal Shakti department, indicating the government's firm stance against activities perceived as threats to national security and order.
