In a shocking incident in Gurugram, a 24-year-old woman suffered severe burns after being attacked with acid at a hospital where she was receiving treatment for an earlier assault. The attack occurred on Sunday evening at Civil Hospital in Gurugram, according to police reports.
The victim, a resident of Nuh district, had been visiting her aunt in Gurugram when she was assaulted by a man with whom she had a conflict earlier that day. In a terrifying sequence of events, the man followed her to Civil Lines Hospital at Sector 10, where he managed to throw a corrosive substance on her, police said.
Sub Inspector Anil Kumar, leading the investigation, stated that police are reviewing CCTV footage and will proceed after obtaining statements from the victim and her family. The young woman remains hospitalized with severe injuries to her face and body, receiving urgent medical care.
