Deloitte India Unveils First Cybersecurity Hub in Bengaluru
Deloitte India has launched 'ConnectSafe' in Bengaluru, aiming to protect critical infrastructure with a cybersecurity facility. The facility will simulate real-world cyber-threat scenarios across various industries, marking a shift in data protection. It targets vulnerabilities in hyper-connected systems to enhance enterprise trust and resilience.
Deloitte India has made a notable advancement in cybersecurity with the launch of 'ConnectSafe', a pioneering facility in Bengaluru. Dubbed the country's first of its kind, the 4,500-square-foot center aims to protect critical infrastructure by simulating real-world cyber-threat scenarios across multiple sectors, including automotive and MedTech.
This initiative represents a paradigm shift from focusing solely on data protection to securing operational technology and human lives. Romal Shetty, CEO of Deloitte South Asia, emphasized the growing complexity of cyber threats that now impact operational systems intimately tied to industries such as smart factories and medical devices.
The facility will also support the advancement of India's role in next-gen cyber defense, enabling organizations to test security protocols proactively. Key features include quantum-safe systems and specialized security centers for operational technology, helping enterprises build resilience without interfering with live operations, as highlighted by Gaurav Shukla, Partner and Leader, Cyber at Deloitte South Asia.
