Life Sentence for Man Convicted of Child Rape
A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping a four-year-old girl. The court also imposed a fine on the convict. Following a complaint, the accused was arrested, and a chargesheet was filed within a month under the POCSO Act.

A court has handed down a life sentence to a man convicted of raping a four-year-old girl in July. The ruling, issued by Additional District and Sessions Judge Mumtaz Ali, also includes a fine of Rs 50,000 imposed on the convict, Suhel alias Chhotu.
Assistant Public Prosecutor (Criminal) Awadhesh Bharadwaj confirmed that Suhel assaulted the minor on July 6. The incident came to light following a complaint by the victim’s father, leading to the registration of a case under relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
Authorities quickly acted on the complaint, arresting the accused by July 7 and filing the chargesheet in just 31 days, ensuring swift justice in this disturbing case.
