An elderly man's murder mystery in Maharashtra's Thane district has been unraveled with the arrest of his wife and two stepsons, the police announced on Wednesday.
Rajesh Shantilal Thakkar, also known as Raju Chacha, was found strangled with a rope in October. The breakthrough came from technical analysis by Police Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kadam's team, identifying the body and leading to the family members.
During interrogation, the stepson admitted to the crime, implicating his mother and brother. The motive remains unclear, but the trio, all from Katemanivali, are under arrest as investigations continue.
