In a significant development, the Odisha Police apprehended Sunya Chandra Das, increasing the total arrests to 14 in the murder case of Pitabash Panda, a senior advocate and BJP leader.
Das, aged 61 and hailing from Khodasing, was allegedly involved in providing shelter to the contract killers, who executed the crime on October 6. It is reported that his premises were used to accommodate the assailants, and the vehicle used in the murder was also stationed there.
Through call detail record analysis, police established a connection between Das, the conspirators, and the killers.
