Diriyah's Ambitious Vision: From Riyadh to Rebuilding Historic Syria

Diriyah, the Saudi megaproject aimed at transforming historic Riyadh into a prime real estate and tourism hub, recently engaged Syrian officials regarding the restoration of Syria's historic sites. The initiative's CEO, Jerry Inzerillo, disclosed plans to contribute to the rebuilding of heritage sites like Aleppo and Damascus at the Future Investment Initiative summit in Riyadh.

Inzerillo emphasized that while immediate involvement is challenging due to current project commitments, discussions with Syrian cabinet members visiting Riyadh signify potential future collaboration. The conflict in Syria has severely affected its historical landmarks, prompting international appeals for restoration efforts despite challenges related to funding, security, and political hurdles.

Envisioned as a global player in cultural heritage development, Diriyah aims to expand its scope by developing six additional sites in Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The company plans a post-2030 IPO, expecting substantial foreign investment, as it progresses towards a strategic cultural and tourist role.
