Major Opium Bust Near India-Myanmar Border: Three Arrested

In a significant operation against drug trafficking, security forces in Manipur's Churachandpur district successfully intercepted over 10 kilograms of raw opium. The operation, launched by Assam Rifles at the Behiang area near the India-Myanmar border, led to the arrest of three alleged peddlers.

The seized contraband was discovered hidden within two two-wheelers, showcasing the innovative methods employed by smugglers to transport narcotics across sensitive border regions. The arrested individuals, all residents of the district, have been taken into police custody, further unraveling the network involved in this illegal trade.
