Supreme Court Grants Maharashtra Week Extension in Surendra Gadling Arson Case

The Supreme Court has provided the Maharashtra government with a one-week extension to submit essential documents in the prolonged 2016 arson case involving advocate Surendra Gadling.
Gadling is accused of aiding Maoist rebels in a destructive attack on the Surjagarh iron ore mine, and remains incarcerated under anti-terror laws.
The apex court raised concerns about the lengthy trial process and previously denied bail, urging the state to expedite the proceedings and justify the delay.
