A breakdown incident near Bhakti Park in Chembur on August 19, where passengers were stranded due to a technical issue, underscored the urgency of an action plan. The session highlighted standard operating procedures to prevent future transport system failures.

Dr. Ashwini Joshi, Mumbai City District Disaster Management Authority chairperson, emphasized the importance of regular mock drills to evaluate the readiness and response mechanisms at public transport facilities, marking a proactive approach to ensuring public safety.
