A significant development has emerged in the investigation into the alleged suicide of a woman doctor in Maharashtra. The Sherlockian twist involves a phone handed over by a relative of police sub-inspector Gopal Badane, one of the accused, raising the stakes in the search for clarity in this tragic case.
The 28-year-old doctor was discovered hanging in a hotel room on October 23, with initial reports listing asphyxia as the cause of death. She left allegations painted harshly in ink upon her palm, accusing PSI Badane of rape and a separate technology expert, Prashant Bankar, of psychological torment, according to police reports.
Superintendent of Police Tushar Doshi confirmed that the phone would undergo forensic scrutiny. Despite claims from political leader Sushma Andhare about inconsistencies in the victim's handwriting, the police maintain the investigation points to suicide. Meanwhile, the forensic journey continues to unravel the final moments of the doctor's life.
