Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to implement precautionary measures as Cyclone Montha is predicted to escalate into a severe cyclonic storm by Tuesday.
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inquiry into the situation, IT Minister Nara Lokesh has been tasked with liaising with the Prime Minister's Office to ensure coordinated efforts.
The CM, during a Real Time Governance System briefing, emphasized the need for preemptive actions in areas forecasted for heavy rains and flood risk to prevent agricultural losses.
