A man has been arrested in Northwest Delhi for allegedly shooting at a person during a confrontation sparked by an unlikely source—a disagreement over dog food. The altercation, which occurred in the Aman Vihar area, involved two sisters, one of whom fed dog food intended for a pet to a stray, leading to a heated argument.
Ashu Chaudhary, the owner of the dog and employer of the elder sister, became involved in the dispute when he learned of the incident. The situation escalated when the younger sister called her friend, Varun alias Karan, to the scene. According to police statements, Varun attempted to mediate but was allegedly shot by Chaudhary, resulting in a leg injury.
The victim was taken to SGM Hospital with a puncture wound, while Chaudhary was arrested and charged under the BNS and Arms Act. This incident highlights how quickly misunderstandings can spiral into violence, especially in domestic disputes.
