In an unanticipated move, Haryana's Director General of Police, O P Singh, took to the roads on a Wednesday night patrol. The aim: to directly observe the conditions and challenges faced by police personnel stationed at critical points such as checkpoints and emergency response units.
On social media platform X, Singh shared details of his patrol, revealing he instructed SPs and CPs to undertake similar inspections. The DGP emphasized the importance of providing solutions to the issues identified during these patrols, with a strict deadline for feedback.
As part of his findings, Singh noticed several security lapses, including a PCR vehicle on duty without personnel standing guard and inadequate signage at traffic diversions. Focused on improving safety and readiness, he outlined a vision of security across Haryana's rural and urban landscapes.
