Haryana is set to revolutionize its land registration system, going paperless from November 1, according to an announcement on Tuesday. This transition is poised to make handling physical documents obsolete across all tehsils.
Financial Commissioner for Revenue and Disaster Management, Sumita Misra, initiated a review with all deputy commissioners through a video conference to monitor the progress of these digital reforms. The move signifies a shift from the traditional system to a fully digital framework aimed at minimizing inefficiency, increasing transparency, and improving convenience for citizens.
To further enhance the experience, a QR code-based feedback system is being introduced in tehsil offices, allowing citizens to provide immediate feedback and report service issues. Digital signatures will now be required for property deeds, reducing tampering and forgery risks.
