RSS Leader Criticizes Violence in Bengal Polls, Calls for Dialogue with Muslim Community

RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale sharply criticized the Trinamool Congress-led West Bengal government for failing to prevent post-election violence. In a pointed interview from the United States with ANI, Hosabale called for peaceful participation in democracy and condemned the violent clashes following the state elections.

Emphasizing that maintaining law and order is a state responsibility, Hosabale remarked that both the nation and the international community are aware of those accountable for the electoral unrest. He questioned the lack of lessons learned from previous instances of violence and suggested that such actions would be futile, with citizens likely responding in their own way.

On being questioned about the role of Muslims in India, Hosabale stressed that 99.9% are descendants of Indian-origin Hindus, advocating for removing politically-motivated tensions. He highlighted the need for continuous dialogue between the RSS and Muslim leaders to address misunderstandings and promote societal harmony.
