Tragic Collision: Speeding Car Leaves One Dead in Delhi

A fatal accident occurred in northwest Delhi's Model Town area on Friday evening when a speeding car collided with an e-rickshaw, leading to the death of one person and injuries to five others, police reports confirm.

The incident happened near Ring Road's Vinayak Hospital. Upon a PCR call about the collision, local law enforcement arrived prompt to begin their investigation. Preliminary evidence suggests the collision overturned the e-rickshaw, causing significant harm to its driver and passengers.

With injuries severe, the car driver, identified as Dr. Sidharth, transported the victims to Vinayak Hospital. Tragically, the e-rickshaw driver, Nagender Chaurasia, succumbed to his injuries. The police have detained the car driver and seized the vehicle; investigations are ongoing to determine possible intoxication. Meanwhile, grieving family members call for stringent legal response against Dr. Sidharth, citing negligence.
