The project is a collaboration between Dutt's Three Dimension Motion Pictures and Aksha Kamboj's Aspect Entertainment, having secured rights from filmmaker Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts.
The announcement was marked by the unveiling of a teaser at a special event, where Dutt is set to reprise his iconic role of Ballu in a gritty new look.
