The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defence has announced the successful interception of another drone attempting to infiltrate Riyadh’s diplomatic quarter. This incident is the latest in a string of aerial threats, adding to the list of drones neutralized by Saudi forces in recent hours.
Concurrently, Saudi military units have also intercepted a ballistic missile during this period of heightened tensions. Although debris from the engagement fell near Prince Sultan Air Base, officials confirmed no damage occurred. In light of these events, Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry will host a high-level meeting with Arab and Islamic nations on Wednesday to address regional security.
The meeting aims to foster consultation and coordination for regional stability, amidst escalating tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran. This follows a significant military operation by the US and Israel against Iran, leading to Tehran's retaliatory drone and missile strikes. The conflict has disrupted major logistics hubs, including Dubai and Doha airports, impacting global trade and essential services.
