Aimed at bolstering healthcare in remote areas of Chhattisgarh's Bastar division, the Mukhyamantri Swasth Bastar Abhiyan successfully screened over 419,000 individuals within just a week. Launched by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the campaign seeks to enhance accessibility to medical services across seven districts, including Kanker, Kondagaon, and Sukma.
The initiative features mobile medical units and health camps, facilitating free diagnostic tests, immediate treatments, and necessary referrals to higher medical institutions. To date, around 4,272 patients have been referred for specialized treatment. Coordination among various healthcare centers and institutions has strengthened the network of medical care in the region.
An integral aspect of the campaign is the creation of digital health profiles, known as ABHA - Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts, for tracking personal health data and supporting continuous care. State Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal emphasizes the critical role this endeavor plays in the future trajectory of health services and management in Bastar.
