The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) issued a notice to its MLA, Pritam Lodhi, on Wednesday, following his alleged objectionable remarks against an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer in Madhya Pradesh. The remarks were linked to a road accident involving Lodhi's son that injured five people.
The controversy gained momentum after a video showed Lodhi threatening to mobilize support to target the officer's home. The IPS Association labeled his comments as indecent and demanded action from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
Lodhi’s son, Dinesh, is accused of hitting five people with his SUV, prompting police investigations. Tensions heightened after Lodhi's subsequent remarks about the police, challenging their authority in the region.
