Unlocking Ayush: Integrating Tradition with Modern Healthcare

Union Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav has emphasized the crucial integration of Ayush into the mainstream healthcare system. At the Chintan Shivir-2026, he called for evidence-based research, digital health platforms, and rural accessibility improvements.

The event, a national brainstorming session, aimed to enhance the policy framework of Ayush. Jadhav underscored Ayush as a comprehensive health solution to tackle contemporary lifestyle diseases and encouraged entrepreneurship and innovation during his address. The focus was on enhancing policy, governance, and implementation.

Key attendees, including Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava and NITI Aayog's Vinod Paul, highlighted aligning Ayush with modern medicine for universal health coverage. Initiatives include expanded insurance coverage and a new WhatsApp channel to increase public outreach.
