Toxic Smoke Near School Sparks Health Scare
At least 26 schoolchildren experienced respiratory issues after inhaling toxic smoke from burning leaves and garbage near their school. They received treatment at a nearby health center. Some were further monitored at Kushinagar Medical College and are now stable. Local officials have assessed and controlled the situation.

In a concerning incident, 26 students suffered from breathing difficulties after inhaling toxic smoke from burning debris near their school in Tamkuhiraj tehsil area. The children, initially treated at the Community Health Centre in Sevarhi, have since been discharged after recovery.
The smoke, originating from burning waste and leaves in a nearby plot, spread into the school premises, causing distress among students. Authorities promptly responded, and some children were referred to Kushinagar Medical College as a precaution, where they are also reported to be stable.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Akanksha Mishra, alongside district officials, supervised the medical response and declared the situation under control. All students have returned home safely, with officials continuing to monitor the area's safety.
