Crackdown on Adulterated Food Production in Hyderabad: H-FAST Arrests 64
Authorities in Hyderabad have cracked down on food adulteration with the newly established H-FAST team, leading to the arrest of 64 individuals. In a significant crackdown on food adulteration in Hyderabad, authorities have arrested 64 individuals and registered 61 cases in collaboration with the newly formed Hyderabad - Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) during March.
Led by Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar, the operation seized over 14,000 kilograms of adulterated food products, including ice cream, paneer, and famous Osmania biscuits, amidst concerns about public health and food safety standards.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy commended the initiative, emphasizing the need for tight regulations against food adulteration to prioritize citizen welfare. The H-FAST team continues to work closely with Food Safety Officers to ensure stringent enforcement.
