Hyderabad's Crackdown on Food Adulteration: Over 60 Arrested in H-FAST Operation
In a significant crackdown on food adulteration in Hyderabad, authorities arrested over 60 individuals involved in manufacturing and selling contaminated food products. The Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) seized over 14,685 Kgs of adulterated items. Efforts aim to enhance food safety under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's directive.

In Hyderabad, authorities have launched an extensive crackdown on food adulteration, arresting more than 60 people involved in the illicit production and distribution of contaminated food products. The city's iconic Osmania biscuits and various dairy items were among the adulterated goods seized during the operation.
The Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST), coordinated by the Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar, has been at the forefront of these enforcement efforts, working closely with Food Safety Officers to bolster regulatory actions. Over 14,685 kilograms of adulterated food have been confiscated following the arrests.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has expressed strong support for the anti-adulteration measures, emphasizing that public health is a top priority. The H-FAST team, consisting of 28 personnel, continues to conduct raids and inspections to prevent the spread of substandard and unsafe food products in the market.
