The Vision of Greater Tipraland: A Quest for Unity and Expansion

Tipra Motha Party (TMP) leader Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has reiterated his ambitious plan to create 'Greater Tipraland' by including parts of Bangladesh, such as Cox's Bazar and Chittagong, provided the Tiprasa community remains united. Debbarma made these remarks at a tribal council election rally in Gomati district.

The idea of 'Greater Tipraland', a vision to expand Tripura’s territory, was first introduced by Debbarma ahead of the 2018 Assembly elections. It played a crucial role in TMP securing 13 seats. Debbarma recently declined an offer from BJP for an electoral alliance, emphasizing he is not in politics for personal gain but to seek dignity and rights for the Tiprasa people.

Debbarma further criticized Tripura’s Chief Minister, Manik Saha, for seeking votes without ensuring the rights and futures of the Tiprasa people. He encouraged support for TMP candidate Manindra Tripura in the upcoming tribal council elections, reinforcing his commitment to direct funding, tribal respect, and preserving the Kokborok script.
