Authorities in Indore seized approximately 3,400 litres of substandard ghee from a factory and subsequently sealed the premises on Wednesday, according to official reports.
Indore District Magistrate Shivam Verma stated that a raid was conducted on a factory in the Palda area after receiving a tip-off. The confiscated ghee, tested at the newly inaugurated Food and Drug Testing Laboratory, was found to be of inferior quality, leading to the factory's closure.
A detailed investigation is now underway, with legal action being pursued against the factory owner. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, at the lab's inauguration, underscored his commitment to combating adulteration and emphasized strict measures against those jeopardizing public health.
