CPI(M) Condemns Ceasefire Violations in Gaza

The Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M), has strongly criticized Israel for breaching a US-brokered ceasefire in Gaza. In a statement issued Wednesday, the party denounced Israel's recent assault on Gaza, citing it as evidence of the ceasefire's fragility.

The CPI(M) urged international actors, particularly the United States, to enforce the truce and to take action against Israel's aggressive and expansionist policies. They highlighted that real peace in the region demands the recognition of Palestine and a shift in US and allied attitudes towards Israel.

This call comes after Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, marked as the deadliest since the ceasefire began, resulting in casualties that included civilians. The incident has triggered a diplomatic challenge for both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump.
