Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has mandated a stringent enforcement of the 'No PUC, no fuel' rule to address the escalating air pollution crisis in the city.

Despite the policy being initiated last December, many vehicles are operating without a pollution under control (PUC) certificate, exacerbating the pollution issue. In response, all fueling stations are now instructed to deny fuel to vehicles without valid certification.

Government departments, including the transport and food sectors as well as law enforcement, are now accountable for ensuring compliance. Authorities have vowed that negligence will result in severe penalties and vehicle seizure, aiming for zero tolerance toward rule violations.
