The Indian Oil Corporation Limited assured its consumers on Monday that the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) across India remains stable, even in the face of crisis in West Asia.
Addressing a press conference, IOCL's sales manager for Aizawl-II, Diganta Chaudhury, said the corporation is prioritizing domestic LPG needs and diligently overseeing the supply chain to maintain consistent delivery levels. Currently servicing about 2.97 lakh households, the corporation is delivering approximately 8,000 cylinders daily, mirroring pre-crisis statistics.
Commercial LPG allocations have increased to 70% of pre-crisis levels to support local enterprises. IOCL is also promoting digital booking methods such as SMS and IVRS, with around 25,000 refill requests being handled via these platforms. Delivery authentication codes have been introduced to verify deliveries, alongside raids to curb distributor malpractices.
