Sikkim LPG Supply: Smooth Deliveries Amid Minimal Backlogs

The supply of LPG cylinders in Sikkim is stable, with a backlog of just 1.46 days, according to a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The ministry, in collaboration with the state government and distributors, is maintaining operations to prevent supply chain disruptions.
Adequate LPG stocks are reported at bottling plants and distribution centers to fulfill household demands. The pending bookings stand at 5,284 against an average daily delivery of 3,618 cylinders, ensuring minimal delays, according to a senior Indian Oil official.
To accommodate students and short-term residents without regular LPG connections, 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinders are available in Gangtok. Authorities urge avoidance of panic buying and promote the use of digital booking and energy-saving measures.
