Following the passage of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Parliament on Thursday saw celebrations as Amaravati was declared the sole capital of the state. Minister Nara Lokesh lauded the decision at a press conference in Delhi, noting that it dispelled the confusion and fears experienced by farmers in recent months.
