The Delhi High Court has reserved judgment in a cheque bounce case against Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav. The decision comes after intensive negotiations failed to yield a settlement, despite Yadav's emotional appeal. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma criticized Yadav for inconsistencies in his commitments to repay dues.

Advocate Avneet Singh Sikka, representing the complainant company, argued that Yadav's conviction and previous assurances should compel him to settle his financial obligations. Sikka highlighted a significant delay in Yadav's legal actions, questioning the grounds for leniency and urging compliance under the Negotiable Instruments Act.

Throughout the proceedings, the Court attempted to mediate, suggesting various settlement amounts, including a ₹6 crore agreement and a structured ₹3 crore payment. Nevertheless, Yadav, citing financial losses, rejected these proposals. With negotiations at a standstill, the Court cautioned both parties, emphasizing that judicial courtesy should not be mistaken for weakness.
