The Delhi High Court has ordered the continuation and regular review of security measures in district courts following an attack on a lawyer by his opposition inside Tis Hazari's courtroom. The presiding judges instructed police authorities to work in close consultation with the relevant principal and district judge in reviewing security arrangements.
During the hearing, the Delhi Police announced the completion of investigations into the case, with chargesheets expected soon. It was confirmed that adequate police personnel have been deployed, and preventive measures have been assessed across all district courts.
The court registered the case earlier this year after the Supreme Court directed the affected lawyer to seek relief from the high court. The judges resolved to dispose of the case while ensuring ongoing security vigilance, addressing concerns about courtroom safety.
