In a move to enhance transparency and efficiency, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana affirmed that the government is committed to improving farmer schemes. By instituting measures such as unique Farmer IDs and the 'Meri Fasal Mera Byora' portal, Haryana ensures accurate distribution of resources.

Addressing a virtual meeting chaired by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Rana disclosed that 20,82,596 beneficiaries are listed under the PM-Kisan scheme in the state. Remarkably, the innovative portal includes farmer databases linking to a detailed land record, positively impacting fertiliser allocation.

The pilot scheme has already saved over Rs 500 crore in central fertiliser subsidies, reflecting effective management and decreased waste. Rana stated future plans include an awareness drive across villages to educate farmers on improved agricultural practices. Chouhan lauded the initiative as a potential nationwide model.
