Madhya Pradesh is taking a significant step toward agriculture welfare by exempting combine harvesters from toll payments at MPRDC plazas, announced Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. This measure is part of the state's broader initiative to support farmers under the Farmer Welfare Year 2026 scheme.
The decision aims to reduce transportation costs for farmers, thereby having a positive ripple effect on the prices of agricultural products. According to Yadav, this is a defining move in realizing the state's vision of 'Prosperous Farmers, Prosperous State.'
The announcement came during a board meeting at the Chief Minister's residence, where Yadav also discussed plans for the construction of new greenfield roads and changes to existing road alignments. Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
