Odisha's Treasure Trove: SOP for Ratna Bhandar Jewellery Counting Discussed

In Bhubaneswar, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presided over a crucial meeting to discuss the counting procedure of the jewellery stored in the revered Ratna Bhandar of Sri Mandir. Odisha Minister, Prithviraj Harichandan, stated that the primary focus was due to establishing a standard procedure for this process.
Harichandan remarked that once the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) gains approval, details regarding the process and schedule will be made public by the temple's managing committee. "We will endeavor to commence the process promptly once the SOP is finalized," the Minister conveyed to ANI.
The sacred Ratna Bhandar vault, situated within the Sri Mandir, was reopened last year after more than four decades, marking a pivotal moment for the temple's administration. In parallel, Chief Minister Majhi reported that the tender process for the first phase of the Lingaraj Temple redevelopment project in Bhubaneswar is complete, with significant progress anticipated.
As the Shaivite center prepares for its transformation, the Odisha government has allocated 180 crore rupees for the initial phase, emphasizing a commitment to enhancing devotees' experiences. Overall, 330 crore rupees are dedicated to ensuring well-facilitated worship at the Lord Lingaraj Temple, manifesting the administration's dedication to religious site development.
