Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy held an all-party meeting on Monday to ensure a smooth Budget session, seeking cooperation from both opposition and ruling members.
The Budget session is set to commence on Tuesday and run until April 8, with a scheduled recess from February 25 to March 8. Attendees included Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and key leaders from various parties.
Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will address the assembly on Tuesday, with a discussion on his address following on February 18 and 19. The state budget for 2026-27 will be presented on February 20. The session will also address issues like farmers' hardships.
