France's Special Climate Envoy, Benoit Faraco, highlighted the crucial contributions of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) during his participation in the body's 8th Assembly Session. Emphasizing action over principles, Faraco stressed ISA's role in making solar energy a backbone of global sustainable efforts.

Conceived during COP21 in Paris, the ISA emerged in 2015 as a pivotal force for turning solar energy into the most affordable and clean form of electricity. Faraco proudly noted that the achievement has driven solar energy's growth from an alternative to a mainstream powerhouse worldwide.

Nonetheless, Faraco pointed out that international cooperation remains vital. As solar energy becomes more prominent globally, France, alongside other ISA partners, continues to invest in fostering this green transition, aiming to enhance solar accessibility and further finance mobilization, particularly ahead of COP30.
