Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma addressed the Pravasi Rajasthani Meet in Kolkata, lauding the diaspora for preserving their cultural heritage despite living away from their homeland. He announced that Pravasi Rajasthani Day will be celebrated in Jaipur on December 10 to strengthen connections between residents abroad and their roots.
The Chief Minister urged the diaspora to engage in the upcoming Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, emphasizing their role in West Bengal's economic progress. Sharma acknowledged the Rajasthan Foundation's expansive reach, with 26 chapters globally, and encouraged members to invest in emerging sectors, fostering Rajasthan's industrial and trade growth.
Highlighting Rajasthan's economic strengths, CM Sharma detailed the state's position as a leading textile producer and mineral hub. He invited overseas Rajasthanis to participate in the state's burgeoning solar energy and tourism industries. The government is proactively reducing investment barriers and promoting sustainable housing projects to entice global investors.
