Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has called on the Rajasthan government to hasten the disbursement of compensation to farmers who have endured crop losses over the past three years. According to Gehlot, numerous farmers have not received their due compensation for the kharif seasons of 2022, 2023, and 2024.
In a statement on social media platform X, Gehlot highlighted that despite raising the issue last December to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, significant delays remain. Farmers from multiple districts, including Bharatpur and Jodhpur, continue to report untimely payments.
Gehlot urged an immediate review of the delay, emphasizing that more than 19,000 farmers from Bharatpur alone await their compensation for 2022, along with pending dues for 2023 and 2024, causing growing resentment among the agricultural community.
