Chhath Puja celebrations concluded with fervor across India, marked by the participation of key political figures. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma graced the event in Guwahati, mingling with attendees and devotees during the final day of festivities.
In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the last rites of the Chhath Puja at Hathi Ghat, near ITO. Offering the 'Usha Arghya' to the rising sun, she expressed gratitude, stating her fortune to partake in the revered festival. Nationwide, devotees conducted rituals, seeking blessings for prosperity and well-being.
Significant gatherings took place at riverbanks and ghats in Bihar, Delhi, and Varanasi. The ceremonial conclusion of Chhath, highlighted by 'Usha Arghya', saw massive footfall and heightened security to ensure harmonious celebrations. The four-day festival commenced on October 25, progressing through rituals like Nahay-Khay, Kharna, and Sandhya Arghya before culminating on October 28.
