Uttarakhand CM Dhami Inaugurates Kunjapuri Fair, Launches Anti-Corruption Campaign

On Monday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the 49th Shri Kunjapuri Tourism and Development Fair in Narendra Nagar, Tehri Garhwal. He inspected stalls and honored martyrs at the Freedom Fighters' Memorial, marking a day filled with cultural and developmental enthusiasm.
In a parallel move, CM Dhami launched a public awareness campaign under the theme 'Vigilance - Our Shared Responsibility' at the Secretariat. This campaign aims to engage the public through various media until State Foundation Day on November 9. In his address, Dhami paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasizing the importance of unity and integrity in nation-building. He administered an oath of integrity to officials, highlighting Patel's vision of a unified and strong India.
The Chief Minister underscored the government's commitment to eradicating corruption, noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership has fostered a transparent and accountable governance culture. Uttarakhand's Vigilance Department has been instrumental, arresting 339 corrupt personnel since the state's formation. A toll-free helpline has facilitated nearly 10,000 complaints in the past three years, leading to 62 trap cases and multiple arrests. Dhami reinforced zero tolerance for corruption, urging widespread promotion of the campaign across government departments.
